The tour is self-guided and flexible to your needs.
You will hop on the trail at Nelson Airport, enjoy a leisurely 26 km cycle through to Mapua on the Great Taste Cycle Trail (about 2 hours excluding stops).. Grade 2 easy. On the way enjoy the beautiful wetlands of the Waimea Inlet. Cross from Rabbit Island on the cycle ferry to Mapua. You can take a coffee break here or a winetasting or indulge in a delicious fresh berry icecream before heading into the Moutere. Here you will leave the Great Taste Trail and cycle on quiet back country road. One wine tasting is included and there will be several other wine tasting opportunities before finishing up at the Moutere Hills vineyard for lunch at your choice of outstanding Forsters restaurant or at New Zealands oldest pub..
We recommend an early start for this tour so that you have plenty of time to enjoy the sights and the tasting opportunities plus a leisurely lunch.
Includes: E Bike hire, helmet, lock, pump and puncture repair kit, one wine tasting, map, return transport to Nelson.
